The Wisdom Teeth Experience

Thursday of this last week I had the wonderful opportunity to have my wisdom teeth removed. I was pretty laid back about the whole thing because my dentist informed me that I would take a magical pill that would make me not remember anything. Well, I took the pill, and then went in to the office. And let me tell you, that man was lying to me! I remember most of what went on. I remember Lexi calling me and my mom having to take the phone because I couldn't stop giggling. I remember panicing becuase I forgot to brush my teeth before we left the house, and so I asked the hygenist for an extra toothbrush and brushing my teeth. And then I remember two nice ladies filling my cavity before Doctor Bates could come in and do my teeth. I remember them hitting my teeth with a little chisel to break them up and I remember doctor Bates having to give me extra novacane because it was still hurting. However, there are some things I do not remember. Apparently, I told the dentist that I had painted my orange toenails just for him, and that I had to go play the piano and wouldn't listen when he told me not to worry about it. I don't remember driving home either. So this is my question: Why do I only remember the painful things, and not the funny things? Oh well :) So here are some pics of me when I first got home.

Levi pretending my knees are "daddy's motorcycle"

Well, apparently, my mother tells me, that when I first woke up at home, I had a siezure, and passed out. And then the pain meds made me puke. Therefore, for the remainder of my experience, I have had the wonderful opportunity to go drugless. :) OUCH! My mouth still hurts today. :( However, on Friday, my good buddy Alex came to the rescue and brought me my first ice cream. My siblings enjoyed it because he brought some for them as well. Becca enjoyed snapping a bunch of shots, both posed and candid, but I'll put a few up for you. I'm glad he came because I was really bored before that! I don't like not being able to move!

Me being really really bored

Alex and I

The kids being goofy :)

Friday night, we had a seminary BBQ to go to, so I did my hair and put on a smile...a very fat smile. But I guess, take the good with the bad...just trying to figure out what the good is! lol.

Levi thought I looked a little funny, I think . . .

The Graduation Experience

Graduation was...graduation! I am done with high school! It feels so odd to not be going to SCC next year. Oh, and I have my AA as well! I am so excited. The ceremony was Monday the 15th, and I hated every minute of it. It was so boring it wasn't funny. I was concentrating so hard on not looking bored! But I got my diploma and all is well. The highlight of that night was definitely going to get dessert with the parents and Gma Jenks. I love them all so much.

I am actually going to live with Jordyn! Well, we hope. We'll have a blast!

Me and Lexann

Okay...now she looks normal...kinda

Me and my Grandma Jenks

Me and Mommy

This last Saturday, we had a little graduation get together. I enjoyed everyone who came, and appreciate everyone so much! We just talked and spent a couple hours mingling.

My artistic Side

Those of you who know me well know that I am not artistic. I cannot make a masterpiece from lead, chalk, pastel, paint, or ink. I cannot draw freehand. Heck, I can't even trace! I suppose you could say that I inherited my father's artistic abilities (or lack thereof). :) But for the past year, I have worked on developing a different kind of art. I love to write poetry. There's kind of a funny story behind that. There's an awesome guy I know who loves to write poetry, and he's really good at it (he's straight too, by the way). lol. Well, he wrote a few poems, so I thought I would give it a hand. The first one I wrote, I gave to him for his birthday, and he ended up fixing it and then giving it back :) Since then, I have worked hard on it. My mother always tells me that my poems are giddy and teenish, but that they're good for what they are. :) She's awesome about it though, and listens to every single lovey dovey poem I write. I just wanted to share one with you that I have written recently and kind of like.

Blink of an Eye

One chance encounter
It all happened so fast
Everything seems perfect
I want it to last

In one tiny moment
You were in and then out
But in that single second
I learned what it’s all about

It’s about playing the game
It’s about taking a chance
It’s about sharing a smile
It’s about learning to dance

It’s about giving your trust
And enjoying the time
It’s about smelling the roses
And enjoying the rhyme

It’s about changing
Becoming who you can be
You didn’t come alone
You brought another piece of me

And now I stand silent
Watching you disappear
And being so puzzled
At the lack of a tear

You were in and then out
In the blink of an eye
But this isn’t over
There’s no need to cry

Happy Days!

Hey everybody! So much has been happening, life just seems to be speeding by! Between family, work, school, and guys I am booked! lol. I love it though, and this summer is going to be so amazing! This is a picture that I thought was entertaining. This is me feeding the shoats. :) I went on a date with a kid named Alex...I'll put a pic of him on here too. He's a returned missionary, and really a lot of fun. We went treasure hunting with a GPS, and that was a lot of fun. His sister in law Jen and I were a bit tired...lol. But it was amazing. And then we played some badminton and headed for Cameron and Jen's house (his bro). We were driving when his sister in law told us that we had to feed the sheep. We ended up calling them shoats becuase they look like sheep and goats at the same time. It was so much fun! I know this is short, I just wanted to catch you all up. You guys are all awesome, and I love you all! Enjoy life...remember, it's what you make it!

My New Blog!!!!

Hey everybody! Becuase I am leaving to BYU Idaho and I know you're all just dying to sit here and read a boring blog (I assume so since you're reading it now), I have decided to join the world of blogger and make it easy to keep track of me. Right now, I don't have anything exciting to say, but I'm sure that I'll think of something rather soon. :) I'll keep you posted :)

Oh wait! I just thought of one thing to mention :) I'm sure you all know, but I am planning on going to BYU ID this Fall. I am very excited, already have housing paid for, and am just waiting to go. My parents are amazing and I already have a waffle iron, a cheese grader, a hand mixer, orange plates and bowls, a can opener (and it's SPIFFY!!!!), and a blender. I am so excited just to be able to use my new equipment! lol.
