Jenkinson/Keller Reunion 2009

I officially had the best five days of my summer! My family and I left Wednesday morning and headed to North Bend, near Seattle. It's been 6 (we think) years since we have visited Uncle Ward and Aunt Carol, and so we figured it was about time for a reunion. I am going to do my best to fill you all in on the awesome five days that we enjoyed as a family. To begin, this is my family :)

Wednesday, we began the drive. Shauna and I were actually pretty happy...though we were in the car for a whole 4 hours! Here's a pic of us just cruisin'! We stopped at a gas station after Levi puked (he was ok...just a little carsick) and we saw a priest quorum on their high adventure. It was kind of a flash back to last year when we met another group in California...just a little side note :)

We finally arrived and we met all the people and got to know eachother again. It was amazing to see how much everyone had grown up, and then I realized that the last time they all saw me I was...12. SCARY!!!!!!!! We spent Wednesday playing around the house and enjoying chatting and catching up with one another. The younger children played in the hot tub, which Aunt Carol had turned the temperature down on. They enjoyed that a lot!

Some of us got together and played a game called Evolution, which involves a clapping pattern and animal signs being passed around the circle. It was a lot of fun, and a great ice breaker with those we haven't seen in...again...6 years! We got close really fast!

Thursday morning, breakfast was at Sue's house. We loved it! Look at all that food! By now, we all felt like we had seen eachother every day since the day we were born, and we enjoyed eating and talking before heading to the lake. Sue made so many kinds of pancakes and had them organized. I thought it was so Sue. :) The first tray held plain pancakes, the second chocolate chip (the semi-sweet on top, milk chocolate on the bottom lol) and the third blueberry. It was delicious!

Me holding my cousin Paislee (Dallas and Rachel's baby girl). She is soooooo smiley!

The kids playing on the jungle gym in Sue's backyard, they had so much fun!

After breakfast, I timed Shauna running hills, and then we decided to go ahead and bathe in the creek that runs through Ward and Carol's property. I just had to have the experience of showering in a waterfall, and where else was I going to get that? But I must says, it was soooooo cold! Here are some step by step pictures of our adventure. It was so much fun. We spent about an hour just laughing and playing around.

This is me, so graciously showing you the beautiful creek. We had so much fun! We were camped overlooking it, and it was soooooo gorgeous!

Some falls a little too big for Shauna and I to shower in...lol.

Shauna was soooo chicken! I had been in for about 15 minutes before she even sat down in the freezing water!
And there she goes...she's not dead...promise :)
Shampoo...it was glorious!

She's so tan...I hate her
Shauna got brave and decided to go into the waterfall first.
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"There is no way!"
"AHHH! Cold!"
All clean!

We enjoyed an awesome day at the lake! We forgot our camera, so Aunt Rachel has all the pictures, but we loved going tubing on Scott and Sue's boat. I had a great experience :) haha. I knelt down in the tube, and ended up rubbing my knees raw. I was on one tube, and Michael was on the other. Suffice it to say he is way more daring than I am. :) He ended up jumping up in the air and landing his tube right o me! We both ate it on that one :) I do have a picture of my knees the next day though, and they are still pretty gross...They hurt!

The drive home was pretty much the same as the drive up. Sleeping and reading. But Levi was being pretty cute, and Shauna caught some pictures, so we of course have to put them up!

As you can tell, we all had a great time. I don't have many pictures from Friday or Saturday, because we were way too busy having fun...but we went to a river and then another lake. We enjoyed our time as a family. I was so sad to leave this morning! I am going to miss Shawn (17) especially!!!!!! He is so awesome and funny.
Well, it's back to the real world, where there's work and cleaning and cooking again :( lol. I'm ready for it though!
